New siamang enclosure

This appears to be a fine addition to the zoo, with the bare tree trunk poles blending in with the forest backdrop. Is the grey wall the remnants of an old grotto or a completely new development? Also, is the raised hut a covered area for the apes to rest in?

If I'm correct the wall has been partly stripped and repainted afterwards. The former cage used to be as high as the wall reaches. The siamangs have access to an indoor area that isn't visible in this picture but they would also be able to seek shelter under the roof of the raised hut in the back of the exhibit but most of it functions as viewing area for visitors (using Erik van Vliet's famous ''immersion'' techniques). The enclosure is indeed a majestic improvement compared to what it used to be.
