I went maybe at about the start of December and there was an echidna walking around in the centre of the exhibit but towards the back and I'm not much of a photographer so I don't always bring a camera with me and only had my phone but it was too far away to get a photo. It could've been a wild one that got into the exhibit but I think it's most likely ment to be there.
i will speak to ron, the manager and see if an echidna has ever lived in that exhibit. i know one lives in the actual echidna exhibit. any questions you want me to ask him while i am there?
Maybe all outdoor koala exhibits look pretty much the same, but there aren't many of those in the US, and I believe LA is the only ALL-outdoor koala exhibit in the US (I might be making that fact up...)
