Kyabram Fauna Park 22/8/10

This photo shows how much the brush turkey mound has grown since I took a photo of it only a month or so earlier.

I was there on Saturday and the mound is getting close to the roof, he carnt go much higher.
I wonder if there are any eggs in it?

They had three young ones a few years ago so here's hoping. And with the Brolgas on eggs hopefully they'll breed this year too.

Still on eggs, I recon it would be about 5 weeks now. If they were going to hatch I would have thought they would by now.

the average incubation period is about 50 days, (several days give or take) if we're going to see any results it will be in the next 2 weeks i would imagine.

as for the brolgas, their eggs this year were duds. they're now almost 2 weeks over the average incubation period.
