Steller Sea Lion Flip.

20th May 2015.
Nope, these are definitely steller sea lions. I come to this park like 3 times a week!

That is dedication:cool:

Javanrhino in his mini review of the park thought the pool was too small, would you agree, what are the long term plans for Steller's sea lion at the park?

I have been thinking lately that the habitat is too small. It's the only enclosure at the park I dont really like 100%. The others are all great.
There are I think 6 or 7 animals in there so it should be a bit bigger.

As far as I know they will keep Stellers for the time being. They have had lots of success with breeding them.

Good to hear they are continuing with them, do the keepers have direct contact with the sealions?
I see Faunia in Madrid and Marineland Antibes are the only Western European collections working with them, are those 2 collections in a breeding situation?

The trainers at Harderwijk do not work free contact with them. They always stand behind an electric fence. I know that Harderwijk has been working with Antibes moving and swapping animals etc. but I'm not too sure how exactly the breeding sits.
