The underwater viewing window by the massive walkthrough exhibit for humboldt penguins in Emmen Zoo, the Netherlands. This is by far the best exhibit for smaller penguins I have ever seen!

@mstickmanp: It is the biggest and best exhibit for humboldt penguins I have ever seen, but I do not know the actual size. Anybody?

@Hix: It is an illusion The water is actually quite clear and I could see far into the pool.

The total enclosure is appr. 40 x 50 meters, the pool is 20 x 40 meters.

The greenish look of the water on the picture is from the thick glass!! The water is very clear.

To use other measurements, the exhibit itself is about 0,75 acres, and the pool holds 1 million litres of salt water.
