This looks an odd set up VC How much heat do these lights produce have you any idea?
I hope the chicks at the top like it hot as all the heat from the lower tanks must be rising up to them and the lamps don't appear to have guards around them,any thing could happen here.

I realy don't think they were very hot because the chicks even could get into direct contact with the lamps ! But your right, it looks somehow odd !
