Actually I saw one yesterday morning and then when I went on the forum there was this picture in the "new" photos. I didn't really go searching for a photo of a koklass just to comment on it
(And because I fail heavily at finding wild pheasants I was quite pleased with myself for seeing it!)
(And if I can make just one person jealous a day then my work in China is done).
OK, jealous about covers it. Spent the summer of 1978 in Pakistan, working on reintroduction project for Cheer Pheasant in the Margala Hills north of Islamabad. White-crested Kalij known to be in the area, saw no wild pheasants either there or at he higher altitude of Murree. Plenty of Black & Grey Francolin, not the same though.
