A view of the splendid exhibit for Amur leopards in the Asia-theme of Rotterdam Zoo. Netted, lush and the leopards can easily disappear completely when they want peace and quiet.

Rotterdam is probably my favorite European zoo (though there are hundreds I still need to visit). It reminds me a lot of one of my favorite North American zoos--Woodland Park--in that it has transcended its small, old urban zoo past with some absolutely brilliant exhibits. It differs, however, in that it is also very densely packed with smaller exhibits housing an extraordinarily diverse collection. Very interested to see photos of some of the newer exhibits (polar bears, Africa) that were not there when I last visited....
The Netherlands is packed with many great zoos, and that's why it often pops up on this forum as arguably the greatest European nation for zoological gardens. This amur leopard exhibit is top-notch, with lots of foliage for the big cat(s) to hide.
Beautiful exhibit!! I particularly love the cover and hiding potential provided by the vegetation!
Forgive me if I'm being unobservant, but are there suitable high vantage points for the cats to use (branches/platforms)? I can't see any in the photo...
