When you enter from the aviary-side, you'll enter sort of a cabin with 3 smaller enclosures like the ones on the picture. The first is for Elephant shrews + Malacochersus tornieri. The second (left on the picture) Gerrhosaurus major, the third (right in the picture) Hemiechinus auritus

This greenhouse is home to nile crocs, african slender snouted crocs, porcupines, hyraxes tortoises, lizards, locusts, hedgehogs, bee-eaters
(in the future also klipspringer, tauraco and other birds)

Thanks for the long and informative descriptions on the photos from the Crocodile River habitats at Rotterdam Zoo. The brown, cracked rocks are much more realistic than many other mock-rock structures found in other zoos.

You're welcome. You should thank toddy, he asked for them, i thought similar pics were already in the gallery :)

Yes it looks pretty good. Finally a new project in rotterdam that i liked very much. The recent new exhibits like the tigerenclosures were'nt all that pretty to me. (the details were not zo nice, sloppy etc.)
Can't wait for the klipspringers to come..
