Do you know how they got the dead calf out? Did they use the small cut to reach into and then move sections of it down through the birth canal? Surely the incision is too small to have got the parts of the dead calf out through it.
 
So this adult female had surgery to remove a dead fetus, is she also this calves mother? Did she have the fetus removed before the birth?

No, its another female. What happened was one female(Douanita) gave birth normally to this calf and an older one(Irma, in this photo with Dounaita's calf) who had a mummified calf inside her for over a year was stimulated by the birth to go into a fresh labour herself. She still couldn't pass the dead calf so they operated on her- successfully it seems- and removed it.
