nice shot!

is it just me or do indian rhinos in zoos have stubs for horns? is it because of a safety precaution? I haven't seen it in recurring images of captive black and white rhinos.

I was told that Dora (TWPZ's male indian rhino) shapes his own horn like that by rubbing it on rocks and fences although his is very flat and not even a stub like this one. This could be the case for other indian rhinos as well. :)

could be the case in zoos.

Though the documenteris I've seen on rhinos in Kariranga National park have very pointed horns, might just be a characteristic of the population!
