The photos of this aviary make it seem fairly plain, but the sheer size is very impressive. I particularly like the thick vegetation throughout the area.
I believe that the Dutch meadows themselves are very plain which makes this quite a naturalictic aviary.
I always enjoy traveling in the Netherlands. Not only are there great zoos but the train rides to get to them takes one through some absolutely beautifull landscapes
Land reclamation projects in the Netherlands have created new habitats for many species of migratory birds, that is true, but do not forget, Holland once meant Land of the Forests.
