Curiously, though … the founding stock is from the US!!!

Yeah we only have two zoos keeping them: Rotterdam, which obtained their animals from a private breeder and an American zoo and Antwerp who got the offspring of the Rotterdam animals.

According to ZIMS, the species is present not just in europen zoos since it is housed at philadelphia, Cleveland, Omaha, Denver and Brookfield Zoo

Also, great news. I saw some pics of a new young that has been born at Rotterdam a while ago.
This makes the total of sengis on public display in Europe 4

Of this species, in any case there are rather more individuals around than that if one takes the other two species onshow in Europe into account.
