This is a really good way to display a whale skeleton, most museums tend to suspend them overhead, which makes viewing more difficult (but saves space I guess).
Will the Humpback Whale be displayed close to this skeleton?
Te Papa has a pigmy blue whale skeleton on display but it is hanging from the roof and is almost impossible to actually get a photo of because the room is so badly crowded with exhibits.
In contrast, the Otago Museum has a right whale (I think) skeleton displayed like the one pictured here (i.e. at visitor level) and it so much more effective.
