Giraffe stables

KevinVar Are these still used by the Giraffes or are they closed and the visitors being allowed in see where the giraffes once lived?

The giraffes are still using this stable, it was built in 2007 if I remember right .

Yes, the stable is indeed quite 'new' and is still home to the giraffe herd containing about 15 animals if I remember correctly. However, during a special evening opening of the zoo the giraffes were locked outside and the stables were opened to the public to give them a look behind the scenes.

The normal viewing area for the public can be seen in the center of the image, just above the doors.

I love this idea. Not particularly difficult to arrange, but a very special and unusual experience for visitors.
