Typical exhibit within the Big Cats Reserve. There are 6 exhibits which are all of average size and certainly well vegetated. Currently the complex holds Pumas, Snow Leopards and Persian Leopards though also featured Jaguars and Fishing Cats a year ago.

This cage however has been vacant since the panthers departed around 10-12 years ago.

This big cat row of cages at the Melbourne Zoo has certainly been depleted in recent memory, as the animals keep dying off and now I understand that 3 of the exhibits have snow leopards in them. Even though the habitats are more traditional in design, they are surprisingly lush and dense with loads of foliage.

Thay are designed quite strange because they are deeper then they are wide so a lot of the cats hung around at the back.
