Thanks Hevden but somehow I was sure in English Heck's was the one with the yellow bill and the nominate the one with the red bill but you are completly right ( have taken care and bred both subspecies in quite a number). In Dutch the names are much easier, Heck's is called Roodsnavel amandine ( = red-billed ) and nominate is called Geelsnavel amandine ( = Yellow-billed ). Sorry for mixing-up the English names ...
