Does anyone know what species are kept on display in the Small Cat Alley now? Last time i visited it was off-limits so i'm keen to know what's there.
Thanks.

:)

On my last visit the Small Cat Alley wasn't off limits but unfortunatly I didn't see and binturong. However I did see; a caracal, two serval's and a couple of exhibits marked as fishing cats but only saw one...The binturong exhibit was laballed but I just couldn't find any.

i remember not so long ago it housing any of the following:

ocelot
leopard cat
fishing cat
golden cat
bobcat
serval
caracal
binturong

and big cat ally had:

snow leopards
jaguars (spotted and black)
leopards (at different times both black and spotted persians)
pumas
clouded leopard
cheetah

as well as having separate sumatran tiger and lion exhibits. melbourne zoo had one of the most comprehensive cat collections in the world.

I visited today and the small cat alley was open again. I saw 2 fishing cats, a serval, a caracal and a binturong. In the big cat alley were puma's, snow leopards and a persin leopard...Not even maned wolves anymore. :(
