Are the macaques free ranging within the zoo or is there some barrier keeping them within that area?

There is a dry moat at the front of the exhibit and a sturdy fence on the other sides keeping the macaques in. It uses the wooded hillside to great effect though.

Hi, thanks for the reply Do you know if it's a dry moat or does it have water in? Sorry for all the questions, am currently writing an essay on macaque enclosures!

I'm pretty sure it's dry but that's from memory.

There may be a Polish member around who would know for sure.
