This municipal aviary , at the bottom of the beautiful Botanical Gardens , was probably a separate attraction at one time .
There are several blocks of small metal aviaries with concrete floors and little enrichment . Apart from members of the Parrot family , there are a few larger softbills , domestic pigeons and peafowl .
The Parrot collection is large , many Amazon parrots and conures , some lories and cockatoos and other of the commoner species , a flock of Greater Vasa parrots . Also lots of Ringneck parrakeets and Cockatiels of various colours .
