The female is probably Sofia(wildborn,1963-1984).But that male isn't Cuko
becuse this photo was taken in 1978 and Cuko was born in 1971 and this male doesn't seem a blackback.So he could be Matias(wildborn,1966-1995)
or another male(I don't know what gorilla is,the only thing that I know about his is that he came to Lisbon in 1971 and was sent to Japan in 1984).

For the record, and to restate what clearly says in the title, the year 1978is merely a guess. My dad took this photo and the others when he visited Lisbon Zoo "in the mid or late 1970s" as he puts it; he doesn't remember the exact year.

I wouldn't think there was, not in the modern sense at least, but someone from Lisbon or someone who actually visited (again I shelter behind that it was my dad who took this, not me ) might tell us.
