They're actually intended for two people as well - the first time we went on there were a few people behind us so me and robmv were squeezed into one (with our bags). Added an additional level of comedy to our journey.
The route of the cable car goes over loads of offhsow areas - the cat holding pens (with species like Serval and Fishing Cat that weren't otherwise on show), and this top area of the zoo - with foxes, porcupines, wolves and loads of ungulates. Very odd.
I normally intensely dislike exhibits only visible from rides, but given that these animals weren't advertised at all until you actually went over them, it felt like a bonus rather than an cheat.
