Thanks Thylo, I wasnt aware that there were no pure reticulated giraffes in the US, going back to the Angolan giraffes, I found out that the Los Angeles Zoo had Angolan giraffes at one time, I am not exactly sure if Giraffe subspecies other than Baringo, Masai, Reticulated, Nubian, or Angolan have been imported into the United States, but I can find out for you
I have been aware of that for awhile now, I have read different articles about the different giraffe "subspecies" being full species, The Groves and Grubb Handbook to Mammals of the World Volume 2 and also the Groves and Grubb book on Ungulate Taxonomy have info on the subject, I dont have those books but they are on my christmas wish list

the Singapore giraffes are Cape giraffes and one Rothschild's (Baringo) giraffe. The Cape giraffes were called Angolans when imported but they are not.
