Melbourne Zoo map 1993

Pigmy hippo and mandrill have been added to the bottom left by the gorillas, and tigers and otters added above the gorillas. The "baboon" symbol at bottom right is now an actual baboon instead of a mandrill. Frogs added next to the reptile house. Buffalo added above peccaries.

I remember the zoo this way only for a short time, the main thing that stands out in my mind is the old elephant enclosure. I have a few photos of Bong Su and Mek Kapah and the enclosure with them in it seems considerably smaller than it does with out them in it.

I seem to remember the bison being in an exhibit opposite the water buffalo. Does anyone know if there was ever a time when the bison were where the blackbuck are shown on this map?
