Believe it not, @snowleopard, but I think Miniaturezoo954's trying to be funny, by employing primitive and detractive Western stereotypes of Russia and its people. Not very successfully, btw...
Sorry you see it that way Sun Wukong, i was browsing thru this pics, and keep on seeing snowleopard questions, and decided to mess with him, all in good nature, i have joked plenty in my time with real russians, (mind you i'm not american so i don't know to what detractive western BS you are talking about) But in my homecountry of Cuba (by the way much worse than anything in this zoo for that matter) we used to joke with Russians in this way without them getting upset, and the other way around.
You are making a big deal out of nothing, you should try telling a joke.

HI Miniaturezoo, l can see that you joined up here on zoochat Dec 2008 and you have made 77 posts. That l for one have found very interesting as your passion is obvious. I hope this does not deter you from continuing.
I think one day your minature zoo will be a attraction at a zoo and you will hire it out returning some of your costs. If you choose to. BTW
It seems some on here are just joing a thread to be critical of others. Its best to just ignore them. Some here are " quick to criticise someone ".
I dont think many here are going to get the sacarsam of "Igor" Grand Prince of Kiev without seeing a
Keep up the posts, Zooyothben a moderator here.Suggested that l use the smiley face. The tounge sticking out one. When being sarcastic in a post. You might want to keep that in mind.
By the way your picks of Lenningrad zoo are a great insight.
Are Leningrad and Kaleningrad the same place...I saw on an episode of that show about Monkey World in the UK that they went to a zoo in Kaliningrad and it looked similiar to this. Is it the same place?
Disagree. Taking the piss out of the way people from a particular country talk is offensive and unfunny. Whether or not you put a smiley face next to it, it's the sort of thing which I have to endure at work from the 13 year old boys I teach. They've usually grown out of it by the time they emerge from puberty.
And no, I'm not humourless. And please don't tell me to tell a joke. i don't think you and I share the same sort of sense of humour.

No. Leningrad is what is now (again) St Petersburg. the zoo is still called Leningrad Zoo, for some reason.
Kaliningrad is in the Russian enclave between Poland and Lithuania. It used to be known as Konigsberg, but has had its Russian name since the end of WWII.
