I agree, although their geographical floral knowledge seems to be somewhat lacking. Perhaps a species of African flower would be more appropriate and then the visitors would truly feel themselves transported to Africa.
The combination of the flower pot, the unlocked padlock hanging from steel bars, the green-and-white peeling paint, the lion that has probably already gone insane in his hideously brutal cage...there is nothing like looking at photos from terrible zoos.
This is one of the saddest pictures I have seen on ZooChat: this is one of those pictures where the usage of words like prison or concentration camp is fully justifiable as descriptions.
Surely, no member of ZooChat will deny that what we see here is a case of cruelty towards animals and that - as snowleopard observes - this lion has probably gone insane because of his cruel confinement?
