Photoshoot with zoo animals - how justified?

Sorry for poor quality, didn't want to atract attention to myself while taking picture.
The zoo uses some of its animals as photo props for a reasonable price.
Species used are: boa constrictor, radiated tortoise, blue-and-gold macaw, eagle owl (hand-raised), etc.
While this seems legal since animals belong to the zoo collection, they may be stressed by such work and eventually become aggressive.
Moreover, such cool experience can encourage people to take photos with illegally owned exotic animals at city streets, without seeing any difference. This business is thriving in many Russian cities, especially southern resort ones as Sochi, Anapa etc. Species range from common reptiles as iguanas to apes and big cat cubs, such animals are often terribly abused, and their owners easily acquire another if one dies too soon.
Such zoo photoshoot is not a conservation-friendly activity - they just make money without explaining the darker side of that practice.
Those animals should better have served as ambassadors in paid education programs.

I remeber they used to charge to have a photo taken with a Koala at Taronga zoo when I was there in 2001 don't know if they still do.

It is very common in North America to have "Program Animals" used for hands on education. They are a separate collection managed by a separate staff. There are rules to it.
The animals may appear in demonstrations on zoo grounds or even taken off (by their keepers) to local schools and other educational events.
No doubt pictures are taken, but the animals are not usually given over to the guests.

Zoos here consider this an important part of their education work.

I have no idea how it compares to what you have described.

If I remember correctly the photos were taken at certain times of the day not all day or on demand.
I don't think the species you list are all that unusuall for handeling sessions they seem to be the species most often used in animal encounters, espetially hand reared birds, if any of the monkeys or primates had ben involved it would raise more important questions.
I take your point about those animals at holiday resorts, but i think that has more to do educatiing people ,coupled with legal control or enforcement of the law rather than anything else. May be the zoo should/does point this out to any one posing for a picture with thier animals and teling them how well they are cared for, as opposed to the chimps etc on holiday beaches.
