How did Ljubljana Zoo source their Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra) ?
Were they sourced from other zoos or were they wild caught ? If the former, then which zoo ? and If the latter then which region ?
Zootierliste lists the ones at this zoo as the nominate subspecies, I know that the distribution ranges of both the Alpine chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra rupicapra) and the Balkan chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra balcanica) go through Slovenia, so I am curious if any Balkan chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra balcanica) ever ended up at this zoo ?
