Vergel Safari Park elephant yard

These are two Howletts-born Elephants.

I hated this exhibit...

They were Asian elephants when i visited though...

Thats strange. Vergel was one of the places featured in the first episode of 'State of the Ark' in 1992. They had African Elephants then though not the same individuals as those there now. Perhaps they temporarily housed some circus animals in the interim?
