The odd thing is, if you mentally replace the concrete with some properly-done rockwork, it really isn't that bad (and for the animals there's really little difference). A bit more planting would be nice and the water area is rather excessive but I've seen much worse.
This exhibit, and the lion exhibit, remind me a great deal of a Persian or Babylonian garden, like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It is as if the exhibits could have been in an ancient royal menagerie of a lost civilization.
Anyways, that's very true, it wouldn't be. It's not that bad anyways, there's just quite a bit of concrete and it could probably be a little larger. Of course it's no great immersion exhibit, but it works. Either way, the architecture of the exhibit is amazing.
