Like many of the enclosures at this zoo! Glancing through the gallery it is a bit alarming to see the tiger, lion, baboon and sea lion exhibits all dominated by cement. The elephant, rhino and various deer and antelope paddocks are all fairly basic and has there been much construction done on this zoo during the past decade? The Spanish economy has been crumbling ever since the financial crisis and is there any money to put into Madrid Zoo? There seems to be a lot of average to mediocre exhibits, plus a series of dreadful ones.
