Common Hippos in concrete enclosure

New glass-walled house behind . I assume it will house the Elephants , not certain if anything else .

one of the ugliest hippo exhibits i have seen, in contrast the pygymy hippos have a very nice exhibit. Why keep both species ? And i really like the barcelona zoo, i have been there 3 times. But some exhibits should be renovated.

Isn't Spain sitting at around 18% unemployment? Why not pay some labourers cheap wages to fix up this outdated hippo pool? It would be like the WPA (Works Progress Administration) setup that America had in the 1930's.

Certainly leaves alot to be desired from what can be seen here.

The new hippo enclosure should be built on the current bearbed vultures zone, but was not built...
