They definately aren't very good enclosures for Apes. I am surprised Bristol allowed their last pair of Orangutans to come here, but then they wanted to rehome them when they closed that House, and frankly they didn't have any more space in their Bristol home. This is just rather more scruffy and 'poor' overall.
i think Santillana is a private/family run concern so with limited funds? The Bear enclosure demonstrates that rather too- its not good, even the larger area.
