Does anyone know how viable waterbuck are in Australia? Does Monarto still have them?
I know Werribee has a small herd but are there others in the country?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer any of these questions.

Monarto Zoo has just one or two males and WORZ have a small herd.

From what i know there are no more in Australia.

According to ISIS Werribee has 4.1, and Orana has 1.0 - no mention of Monarto.

But there were two animals there when I took that photo 20 months ago.

monarto has only one male hybrid at the moment, werribee has 4.1 waterbuck and o.4 hybrid waterbuck and orana has 1.0 waterbuck and 3.5 hybrid waterbuck.

By hybrid, I assume you mean ellipsiprymnus X defassa ?

I would say so but I just got the information from ISIS so I am unsure.
