Old pictures from Kolmården Zoo - 1969

I have found a few more old zoo photographs from my childhood in another photo album (see earlier uploads in the Borås and Kolmården galleries). The pictures in this album were dated so I know when they were taken.

Here is a series of pictures from Kolmården Zoo, taken in 1969.

Can´t help you, here. I took the picture 40 years ago and have not visited Kolmården since then.

Now It is the South American enclouser with Tapir , Capybara , Rheas and Vicunja. Back in the 1969 it was called "Den Asiatiska Byn" . (The Asian Village).

Oh! And that is a rather nice enclosure from what I have seen on Swedish TV!

It almost looks like now. The same stable. The forward difference is that the fence in the background is a low stone wall, and there is much more grass.

Are you sure that you linked to the right picture, Rillekolmård? I can´t see that the two pictures show the same spot.

It is not exactelly same spot. Here you can see the house that was in your picture from another spot. The tapirs from my first photo was in the little paddock you see on this picture.
