This is the old polar bear outdoor enclosure, now home to a snowleopard breeding pair.
The Snowleopards arrived in 2006. The female Binu came from Marwell Zoo (UK) and the male Brahma came from Nordens Ark (SWEDEN).
They have got cubs, but only 1 surviving. It was adopted by a snowleopard female at Nordens Ark (SWEDEN).
You can walk down in the enclosure and watch the big cats trough windows. You have the best chance to spot the snowleopards in the winter.
This is the enterance down to the Window wiewing area, the stairs and the wiewing area. Number 4, 5 and 6 on the map.
