Yes it is Actually this is the former Polar bear enclosure, built in the 60's as the worlds largest. When the Polar bears moved in 2006 because the enclosure was to old, they just lowered the water and it makes a brilliant snowleopard enclosure. One of my favourites in Sweden
As far as I can tell, Kolmarden (Sweden) and Zurich (Switzerland) are the only two snow leopard exhibits anywhere that could be considered really first rate. I know many people will bring up the Bronx Zoo, which may be the best one in the USA, but it does not appear to be on the same level as these.
While I would love to see (and photograph) both Kolmarden and Zurich, realistically speaking I will probably only make it to the latter (since it is a four hour train ride from Paris).

Once again I am disappointed that the brilliant snow leopard exhibit (in my mind the best I have seen) in Norden's Ark (Sweden) is forgotten again. There isn't really a decent photo here in ZooChat but it is fantastic exhibit built on an actual mountain slope.
Well, as I have heard a rumour that you are something of a "cat fanatic" I'm sure you would enjoy a trip to Sweden if you see both Norden's Ark (snow leopards, amur tigers and amur leopards in HUGE landscape exhibits as well as pallas cats, lynx and European wildcats) and Parken Zoo Eskilstuna (asiatic lion, sumatran tiger, amur leopard, clouded leopard, cheetah, pallas cat, fishing cat and sand cat).
