Persian leopard exhibit (new for 2014)

This is the biggest news for the park 2014 and it was opening by the Swedish crown princess Victoria on 14 june this year. The exhibit are two large encloses and some small encloses. The Persian leopard (Panthera pardus saxicolor) is a new species for the park and they hope to breed them in the future. The leopards (1.1) comes from Hanover Zoo and Tierpark Chemnitz, both in Germany.

This is great! Plus the excellent snow leopard exhibit. Now I really want to go here. Kolmarden is also high on my list, but I do not know if I will ever afford to go to Sweden. (Plus I do not relish the idea of trying to learn a little Swedish. I am still having a hard time with French even though I have been to France three times).

Thanks AD! I hope you have afford to take a trip to Sweden sometime in your life! The most people in Sweden speaks English and the most signs in this park are in English and German too. :)
