The outdoor exhibit for hamadryas baboons in the Skansen Aquarium, Sweden. Quite a nice rocky exhibit with a small waterfall and stream running down. At the bottom, they have some soft substrate to seacrh for food. They even have their own private jeep available.

Hmmm... can´t help but feel that this Jeep is a bit of an odd feature. Is the "scene" supposed to resemble a crashed bridge that the vehicle has fallen down from?

Still, most odd of it all is the word "Djungelpatrullen" written on the Jeep... that is Swedish, meaning "The Jungle Patrol" in English.... I think some "creative mind" has been allowed a bit to much artistic license here.... :D

Yes, the crashed jeep does look a bit odd. But the young monkeys seem to enjoy playing in and on it:)

I love it. Unfourtunatley dont these animals only spend nights on a mountain face. Spending the days on the savanh/plains searching for food.

Hence the moat that we have filled up and covered with hey and straw. This give the animals possibility to search for food all day long, which they do! We had pebbles the first year, but after changing this, we have animals that behave much more natural, than I have ever seen in an artificial exhibit:).

I will put some pictures here to show you what I mean.
