I have also seen this behaviour at Twycross Zoo where the two species are housed together . It was not possible to get a photo like this though .

Nope...mother and father are there. The GLT's only carried them. When they needed milk they screemed...the father got them to the mother. Once they had finished eating, they sreemed again and the GLT's came and took them over;)!

Nice to hear...had not heard of it before. Interesting that they had their own babies and yet they took the Pygmy in. I always thought that the reason might be that our pair of GLT's don't get babies on their own. Have to reconsider that theory now:o!

Wow... i knew the are held togther but didnt think it can get to this. never heard about it.
