The sign welcoming visitors to the Swiss Butterfly Garden in the outdoor area of the Papiliorama. The Swiss Butterfly Garden is an outdoor aviary totalling a size of 500 sqm opened in 2004. Inside this walkthrough aviary lives 10 species of indigenous butterfly species all living out their natural life cycle in the recreated Swiss biomes of rocky slopes and grassy meadows.
The aim of this aviary is the spread the conservation message about the ever decreasing butterfly habitats in Switzerland.
