It is hard not to be a puffin fan . I would really advise you to visit Iceland one day and specifically the Westmann islands just south of Iceland, which has puffins and stunning scenery all over the island and the locat museum/aquarium has a tame non-releasable puffin who pretends he is in charge (like all puffins pretend to do...), but doesn't mind to be carried by humans, so close encounters are guaranteed...
Wonderful birds . Skomer Island off the West Wales coat has a large breeding colony and can be visited daily by boat , with overnight stays available . The puffins are totally unafraid of people and many stand right next to the paths , so can be approached very closely . With many other species of birds it is a brilliant wildlife experience .
