Reminds me strongly of the Mexican wolf enclosures at Chapultepec zoo , Mexico city. Incidentally one of the zoo's former directors (Jean Schoch Beachler) was Swiss. As he was in a leadership position for many decades and oversaw the zoo's remodelation in the 90's perhaps he looked to Basel for inspiration in some of the enclosure designs.
