Already existing examples of such "elephant underwater windows" (for example Leipzig) show one weakness from the visitors' pov: once the first muddy, sand-covered elephant enters the basin, visibility quickly decreases.
The picture was taken about fifteen minutes into the elephant's bath after the large crowd in front of the underwater screen had started to dissipate. So, while the water does get quite murky quite quickly, the elephants fortunately remain more or less visible.
