@Swanson02 Yes, Hamilton Zoo have the largest exhibit followed by Monarto Safari Park. Hamilton’s exhibit opened with a capacity to house 20 chimpanzees, but the zoo have never exceeded eight chimpanzees. They currently hold 2.4 - four adults, a juvenile and an infant.
@Zoofan15 It is good though to know they have the capacity for plenty more. 6 chimpanzees in an exhibit that could fit 20 can make it feel a little empty.
@Swanson02 It’d be great to see them establish a community as Taronga Zoo have done. Luka (1993) has been aggressive to immigrant females in the past - fatally injuring the last female to be introduced in 2015.
The solution could be to either wait until he and Lucifer (1988) pass on and bring in new males (and females) to join his daughters - born 2016 and 2020, who will likely be in their teens/early 20’s by then.
