Common Hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) - April 10th 2015

Curiously enough, considering the vernacular name for the species, I have seen the Common Hippopotamus in rather fewer collections than I have the Pygmy Hippopotamus; this photograph is perhaps the best I have ever managed to take of this taxon.
