That exhibit is tiny and doesn't even have any padding on the floor. I really don't understand how anyone could design such inadequate animal enclosures. It will be very interesting to read your reviews of these zoos in the weeks ahead.
@Lori Patton The real shocker is seeing zoos with Asian Elephants in tiny paddocks. They are treated like cows or pet dogs in Southeast Asia. From a Western perspective, it’s been intriguing to see adult elephants being walked through zoos, or visitors petting the trunks, or loads of elephant rides with zero barriers. It’s been eye-opening!
