I think that the common names of mynas are very confusing. This species is also referred to as the Common Hill Myna (Gracula religiosa). Nice photo!
There's another myna called the Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) that isn't nearly as interesting as this species. That Common Myna has been introduced to Australia, South Africa, Madagascar, and a lot of South Pacific islands where it's become a pest.
