Common snapping turtle

This big guy was crossing the middle of the Road, a bunch of cars just sitting there. Very Lucky to have me Watching the whole thing, because I jumped out of the car and by the legs, dragged this (admittedly heavy) Snapping turtle to the very Convenient pond right next to the road. Made a strange noise I've never seen a Snapping turtle make, More like it was growling or something.

I would be weary of grabbing a Snapping turtle though...
That beak is a freak of nature

@ChunkyMunky pengopus Don't worry, I handled it as best as I could have, and I made sure I was careful.

I didn't "Grab" it, I more dragged across to the pond a few feet away.
