Common Vampire Bat (Desmodus rotundus)

Aug, 2019
How’s the exhibit for them? I have yet to see vampire bats anywhere. Does Philly also have them?

@RatioTile To answer your question, Philly has them in the Small Mammal House. Said Small Mammal House used to have a nocturnal wing featuring animals like echidnas, sugar gliders, possums (IIRC), African striped weasels and of course the vampire bats. They later expanded the bats' enclosure to take up essentially the entire wing, significantly dwindling their decently-sized nocturnal collection. (At least they still have aye-ayes and Madagascar giant jumping rats in their Primate Reserve).
